Professional Biography of
W. Stanley Armstrong
W. Stanley Armstrong is founder and managing partner
for Area Real Estate Investors, LLC (AREA), located in Alexandria, Virginia.
AREA is a leader in property development, real estate investing, and financing
for development projects.
Mr. Armstrong has had success in two careers. For 23 years, he served
as political appointee with two Presidential administrations and as the
top staff member to two Members of Congress. From 1969 to 1974, Mr. Armstrong
was a congressional liaison officer at the U. S. General Services Administration
and the top political staff officer to the Director of the Office of Economic
Opportunity, and the Secretary of Housing and Urban Affairs. From 1977
to 1980, he was executive assistant to Congressman Richard Kelley of Florida
and Congressman James Jeffries of Kansas. For six years in the 1980s,
he worked as a lobbyist for the mining industry and as a political appointee
at the U. S. Department of Commerce in international trade.
Mr. Armstrong is now recognized as one of the leading experts in real
estate investing. Along with his duties as managing partner of AREA, Mr.
Armstrong offers seminars and training programs in real estate development
and investing, and also serves as an officer of Capital AREA REIA, one
of the premier real estate investors networking organizations in the country.
Professional Biography of
W. Seth McClelland
W. Seth McClelland, a consulting project manager for
AREA Real Estate Investors, LLC, is from one of the most celebrated real
estate families in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. His grandfather
was a prominent real estate attorney in Northern Virginia, and his mother
a top-producing agent. In June of 2000, Mr. McClelland joined AREA Real
Estate Investors as operations manager, responsible for office administration,
including the creation of the Limited Partnerships for real estate development,
and communications with investors and renovation contractors.
